Covenant Foundation is raising funds for a new Compassion Room at Mary Immaculate Care Centre in Mundare.
This $120,000 investment is a private end-of-life suite where residents and their loved ones can spend meaningful time together in comfort, dignity and peace.
This dedicated space will give families the privacy and flexibility to remain close during some of life’s most difficult moments.
“A lot of the rooms at Mary Immaculate are shared, so at the end of life, you don’t have privacy. That’s why we want to create a Compassion Room.”
Residents at Mary Immaculate Care Centre come from Mundare and nearby communities including Vegreville, Lamont and Two Hills. The Compassion Room will provide families across the region with a dedicated private space to gather, rest and spend uninterrupted time together.
A place to stay close
An adjoining family area will give loved ones space to sit, rest and remain nearby throughout the day and night, helping families stay close without having to leave their loved one’s side for long.
Room for the whole family
A larger, more comfortable room will allow more family members to gather together, with flexible furnishings and space to sit, visit and support one another while remaining close to their loved one.
Privacy and integrated clinical supports
The room will combine the privacy of a dedicated end-of-life space with access to the clinical supports residents need. A quiet, welcoming environment will also provide room for reflection, prayer and meaningful family moments.
