the compassion room

A space of comfort, dignity and peace

“A lot of the rooms at Mary Immaculate are shared, so at the end of life, you don’t have privacy. That’s why we want to create a Compassion Room.”

Sylvia Zacharkiw, Mundare Community Board

At Covenant, we believe in the dignity of every person. The Compassion Room is not just a site renovation but an expression of Covenant’s commitment to caring for the whole person in body, mind and soul

A new Compassion Room at Mary Immaculate Care Centre will provide residents and their loved ones with a private, welcoming space to spend meaningful time together during life’s most difficult moments.

With a $120,000 project investment, the space will be designed to support comfort, dignity and peace at end of life while giving families the privacy and flexibility they need to remain close.
