a year of IMPACT

Together, we are strengthening compassionate care across Alberta.

Behind every achievement in health care is a community of people who believe in making a difference. This year, Covenant Foundation donors brought bold ideas to life, elevated patient experiences and deepened our commitment to patients, residents and families across Covenant communities.

With more than 170,000 charities and non-profits in Canada, we're proud to be part of an elite group of approximately 200 in the country – and just 35 in Alberta – accredited by the Imagine Canada Standards Program. Accreditation is awarded to charities and non-profits like ours that excel in five areas including board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, staff management and volunteer involvement. Our accreditation confirms our commitment to the highest standards of accountability, transparency and governance.

Land Acknowledgement

Covenant Foundation respectfully acknowledges that our central office and several foundation-supported Covenant sites are located on Treaty 6 territory and Region 4 of the Métis Nation of Alberta, a traditional land and gathering place of diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe, Inuit, and many others. We also support Covenant sites all across Alberta on Treaty 4, 6 and 7 territories as well as the Regions 2, 3 and 4 of the Métis Nation of Alberta. We honour and respect the people whose histories, languages and cultures have been here for thousands of years and continue to influence our vibrant community. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us.
