Covenant Foundation is proud to partner with Pender & Howe in search of our next President & CEO, based in Edmonton, AB.

Covenant Foundation proudly supports Covenant Health, Covenant Care, and Covenant Living. For more than 30 years, the Foundation has partnered with communities to help create vibrant environments of health and healing for patients, residents, families, and healthcare teams. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this is a pivotal opportunity to lead philanthropy with direct impact on patient care – shaping the Foundation’s next chapter of growth while leveraging the trusted reputation, scale, and convening power of a highly respected healthcare system.

What you will do:
-Cultivate the philanthropic direction of the organization
-Mentor, coach, and develop staff to energize both people and performance
-Strengthen pipeline development and major gift growth
-Define a strategic vision and translate it into actionable plans with measurable targets
-Ensure disciplined execution – moving from strategy to delivery
-Identify and pursue new revenue streams beyond traditional fundraising channels
-Build strong community partnerships through consistent engagement and meaningful collaboration
-Foster a strong, collaborative relationship with Covenant Health leaders and teams

What we're looking for:
-Significant experience in senior fundraising leadership and philanthropy within nonprofit or mission-driven sectors
-Demonstrated success building teams, coaching staff, and improving performance
-Proven ability to create and execute strategy – not just plan it
-Strong relationship builder with high emotional intelligence and a mature leadership presence
-Deep alignment with mission-driven work and values-based leadership
-A grounded, people-first, servant leader with entrepreneurial and courageous leadership
