Having trouble deciding on what type of event to organize? We’ve put together a list of event suggestions to help get you started:

Afternoon Tea Party / High Tea
Bake some goodies, brew some tea, and invite your friends over for an enjoyable afternoon. Participants would be required to make a donation in order to participate.

Anything-A-Thon
Bike-A-Thon, Play-A-Thon, Nintendo-A-Thon – anything goes! Host a 24-hour event and collect a fee from participants, or have each participant collect pledges in support of Covenant Foundation. This is a fun option perfect for engaging a group of people and supporting the Foundation at the same time.

Battle of the Bands
Reach out to local bands in your community and find a location to host the event. Have guests admission be via donation, and have the audience pick the winner of the competition.

Car Wash
Get some friends, teammates, or coworkers together and wash cars for donations.

Employee Giving Program

If you own a business with your own staff, there are many ways to do this. One way could be to encourage your employees to donate by pledging to match however much they raise!

Fashion Show
Invite clothing stores from your community to showcase their new fashions at your workplace. Charge a fee to participate and donate the proceeds.

Fitness Party
Ask a local fitness center to host a fitness class in support of the Foundation. Charge participants a fee to take part in a class and donate the proceeds.

Garage Sale
Looking for a great way to get rid of that clutter? Gather all your items you don’t use anymore and hold a garage sale with the proceeds being donated to Covenant Foundation. Invite friends and neighbors to participate and increase the amount you raise.

Lunch Money
Encourage your co-workers or friends to eat lunch at home or pack a bagged lunch and donate what they normally would have spent on going out to eat lunch to the Covenant Foundation.

Other great ideas include art exhibits, car shows, celebratory events, silent auctions, wine & cheese evenings, sporting events, multicultural events, head shaves, kids’ events, bake sales, and BBQ’s – your only limit is your imagination!
