The Covenant Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Machacek as the Foundation’s new president and chief executive officer, effective July 2, 2026.
Patrick is a seasoned fund development leader with more than three decades of experience building high performing major gift programs and delivering successful campaign initiatives.
His executive leadership spans health foundations and post-secondary institutions, including enterprise-wide rebrands at Olds College, NorQuest College and NAIT. He also played a key role in the creation of the Olds College Smart Farm, helping generate more than $60 million in revenue and support a 1,900-acre land expansion.
Patrick is known for challenging teams to think differently, deepen relationships with donors and partners, and create meaningful impact for the communities they serve.
This next chapter builds on the Foundation’s strong momentum. Its commitment to elevating the care experience for patients, residents and families across Covenant’s sites remains unchanged.
