President & CEO

Lisa Munro joined Covenant Foundation as chief executive officer in October 2022, bringing over 25 years of development experience and a reputation for exceptional relationship building and collaboration.

Before joining the Foundation, Lisa served as chief development officer for the University Hospital Foundation, where she achieved record-breaking revenues. She also spent 14 years with the Oilers Entertainment Group as senior director of corporate partnerships, gaining invaluable insight into how integrated partnerships drive growth and strengthen communities.

Lisa’s results-driven approach was honed during her 15 years with CIBC, where she earned multiple National Sales Awards for Top Performance and an Annual Achievers Award for Sales Leadership. Her expertise in sponsorship and marketing has been recognized through roles such as co-chair of the Marketing Innovation Awards and judge for the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada Awards.

In addition to her professional achievements, Lisa supports future leaders as a board advisor for the Network of Empowered Women Annual Business Conference and a director with AIESEC Canada, an organization dedicated to leadership development through international exchange.

Lisa’s dynamic career and passion for community impact make her an invaluable leader for Covenant Foundation.

Senior Director of Philanthropy

Sean Capri joined Covenant Foundation as Senior Director of Philanthropy in September 2024, bringing extensive expertise and a proven track record in healthcare philanthropy. Recognized as one of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2021, Sean has spent over a decade driving successful fundraising initiatives.

Sean began his career in 2009 with the Alberta Cancer Foundation, where he helped pioneer innovative strategies in fundraising, including Direct Response programs such as direct mail, telemarketing, and lotteries. In 2019, Sean joined the University Hospital Foundation as Director of Annual Giving. There, he led a team that quadrupled the monthly giving program, doubled direct mail results, and expanded the Foundation’s gaming strategy with initiatives like the Festival of Trees 50/50 Raffle.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Sean excels at leveraging data-driven strategies and building strong partnerships to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys distance running, cultivating online communities, and spending time with his family.

Director of Development

Cathie Calarco is the Director of Development at Covenant Foundation, where she combines her expertise in fundraising, sales, and marketing to drive impactful outcomes. With extensive experience working with healthcare foundations across Canada, Cathie has developed a deep understanding of the philanthropic sector, building strong relationships to advance critical missions. She is passionate about advancing the mission of Covenant Foundation across Alberta, fostering growth and cultivating partnerships to support the Foundation’s important work in healthcare.

An accomplished entrepreneur and two-time RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur - Woman of Influence Nominee, Cathie is known for her passion for volunteering and her innate ability to connect like-minded individuals to collaborate on meaningful initiatives and drive positive change.. She is a proud member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, and was also nominated for Kingston Ontario Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year.

Director of Finance & Operations, Covenant Foundation, and Foundations Controller, Foundation Affiliates

Alecia Baldwin joined Covenant Foundation in March 2016 after completing her articling with KPMG and earning her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. She holds a Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan, which she completed in 2014.

As the Director of Finance and Operations, Alecia has dedicated her entire professional career to the nonprofit sector. She leverages her technical expertise and industry knowledge to find practical solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness. Alecia works closely with Foundation teams and Covenant partners to transform philanthropic funding into impactful programs and services, guided by the implementation of the Foundation’s funding priorities framework.

Alecia's commitment to financial stewardship and operational excellence ensures that donor contributions create meaningful change across the communities served by Covenant Foundation.

Annelise Pickett Headshot

Annelise Pickett

Digital Specialist

Annelise joined Covenant Foundation in 2023 as the Digital Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from MacEwan University and over 12 years of experience in digital marketing. Her expertise stems from working with digital marketing agencies, the private sector, and founding her own digital marketing company.

At Covenant Foundation, Annelise plays a pivotal role in managing the foundation's website, SEO strategies, social media platforms, paid ad campaigns, and overall digital content strategy. She is passionate about creating visionary digital experiences that connect donors with meaningful causes and amplify the foundation's mission.

Outside of work, Annelise enjoys spending quality time with her family, cheering on her kids at their sporting events, staying active with her beloved fur baby, and traveling with her husband and 3 kids.

Ashlee Robinson-Anagor Headshot

Stewardship Lead

Ashlee Robinson-Anagor holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has a dynamic career background, starting in banking and later moving into management in telemarketing for the performing arts. Currently, she serves as the Stewardship Lead, where she designs and oversees comprehensive donor engagement programs, fostering meaningful relationships and impactful recognition initiatives.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ashlee enjoys traveling, discovering new culinary experiences at restaurants, and channeling her artistic side through ceramics. Her passion for connection and creativity shines in every aspect of her work and personal life.

Corporate Partnerships Officer

Dave Reynar joined Covenant Foundation as corporate partnerships officer in January 2023, bringing extensive experience in community investment and partnership development.

Previously, Dave served as director of community investment at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton. Before that, he spent 11 years with the Oilers Entertainment Group, where he held various roles, including manager of corporate partnerships. In this position, he collaborated with community leaders to create impactful partnerships that drove business development.

A passionate sports enthusiast and avid golfer, Dave enjoys staying active and connecting with others through sports. He lives in Sherwood Park with his wife, Ashley, and their two sons, Henry and Maxwell.

Kara Mothersell joined the Covenant Foundation team in July 2024, bringing a unique combination of skills and experience to her role. She has worked in philanthropy for the past two years, developing expertise in fundraising and external relationship building. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, Kara spent 16 years at NorQuest College, where she worked as a Business and Costing Analyst in the Foundational Faculty for a decade.

Kara’s strengths include financial analysis, costing analysis, and cultivating meaningful connections that drive impactful outcomes. Her ability to combine analytical expertise with a passion for relationship building makes her a valuable asset to the Foundation team.

Outside of work, Kara is dedicated to making a difference and supporting the causes that matter most to the communities served by the Foundation.

Kayla McNeilly Headshot

Annual Giving & Stewardship Coordinator

Kayla has been volunteering and organizing fundraising events since 2004.She brings with her hundreds of hours of event planning and event management helping bring the foundation’s annual events to life.

Previously, Kayla spent close to a decade at a large Canadian based oil and gas company. She helped plan and manage their multiple programs and events under their organizational development branch, helping the business achieve multiple years on the Canada’s Best Employers list.

Kayla has a strong passion for community involvement, and with her friends have raised $811,000.00 for Multiple Sclerosis in support of their friend Julia also known as Team Julia.

Communications & Marketing Advisor

Lindsay Guthrie serves as the Communications and Marketing Advisor for our foundation, where she brings creativity, optimism, and positivity to her work every day. A proud graduate of MacEwan University, Lindsay refined her skills further with an Editing Certificate from Simon Fraser University.

Passionate about the nonprofit sector, Lindsay finds fulfillment in seeing the tangible difference her work makes, from crafting impactful campaigns to connecting donors with the causes that matter most. She takes pride in supporting the foundation’s mission to improve healthcare across Alberta.

Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets, exploring scenic hiking trails, and discovering new restaurants.

Granting Officer

Trish Flores-Worobec holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and began her career in the field before transitioning to a managerial role at an independent seniors housing facility. With a strong background in leadership and attention to detail, she now serves as the Foundation’s Granting Officer, where she combines her expertise with a passion for impactful work.

Outside of the office, Trish enjoys life with her husband and their energetic goldendoodle puppy, Roo. She loves traveling to new destinations, exploring diverse culinary scenes, and spending time on crafts.

As a seasoned accountant, Sarah Fontana brings a unique blend of experience from various industries, including oil and gas, venture capital management, and her true passion – the not-for-profit sector, where she's spent 10 years making a meaningful impact.

When she's not crunching numbers, Sarah loves spending time with her family, including her husband, two kids, and two fur children. Her busy life is filled with reading, baking, photography, and traveling. She's also a firm believer in nurturing friendships and making time for the people who matter most.

Shirin Fernandes is a skilled professional with expertise in communication, organization, and multitasking. Currently an Executive Associate at Covenant Foundation, she provides support to the CEO, manages schedules, organizes events, and plays a key role in preparing board packages while overseeing all aspects of board governance and operations. She also manages employee onboarding, IT tasks, and charitable donations. Previously, Shirin worked as an Executive Assistant at Aimco, DIALOG, and abroad, with additional experience in education and running a daycare business. Holding a degree in Arts, Early Childhood Education, and Hotel Administration, Shirin is committed to delivering results, contributing to the community through volunteering, and fostering positive work environments

Prospect Researcher & Database Specialist

Teddi Taylor joined the Covenant Foundation team in April 2024, bringing over 16 years of experience in fundraising administration. Since 2008, Teddi has worked behind the scenes to support fundraising efforts, with a passion for streamlining processes and ensuring the integrity of donor data. In 2015, she earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential, demonstrating her dedication to best practices and continued professional growth in the field.

A self-proclaimed spreadsheet enthusiast, Teddi thrives on making data work for everyone. While she loves a good spreadsheet, her true goal is to ensure that everyone on the team works directly in the database, making processes smoother and more efficient for all involved.

Outside of work, Teddi enjoys the creative and calming pursuits of knitting, crochet, baking, and tackling DIY home projects, always with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.

Harpreet Hari is an Accountant at Covenant Foundation, bringing eight years of experience in the accounting field. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked as a Financial Accountant at Canadian Western Bank, where she gained extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis.

Based in Edmonton, she is dedicated to her work and passionate about contributing to the success of the Covenant Foundation. Outside of work, Harpreet enjoys reading, traveling, and cherishing quality time with her family. Her dedication to her profession and balanced approach to life make her a valued member of the team.
